Supervision

I am looking to help Licensed Professional Counselor Associates who are ready to begin their journey in the wonderful and rewarding career of counseling.

I am approved by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors to provide supervision to Licensed Professional Counselor Associates who are working towards the required internship hours. Supervision will be based on the guidelines established by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors.

I have my License as a Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S) 66276.

Supervision

Choosing a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) should be taken seriously. The Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors sets forth strict rules and regulations that must be adhered to. Interview your potential LPC-S carefully, always refer to the LPC Rules when in doubt, and keep good records.

I have practiced in the education system as a school counselor for over ten years and I can help you juggle counseling, along with 504’s, schedules, testing and other administrative duties. I have also worked in my private practice with online and in-office client consultation. Finally, I am also a Disruptive Event Management Consultant for Houston and surrounding areas. This entails working traumatic/crisis events in the workplace.

Your Supervision Fee Includes the Following:

  • Individual weekly sessions, includes a mix of telephone, Facetime and face-to-face sessions

  • Feedback and guidance on counseling techniques, diagnosis, assessments, ethics and application of theories

  • Review case notes to improve documentation and monitor ethical compliance

Supervision rates are to be paid by the supervisee. If your employer would like to provide this as a benefit to you, this will have to be paid directly to you. The supervision is being provided to you therefore you are responsible for the payment.

What I Am Looking For In a LPC Associate:

  • A strong ethical and moral foundation. Please know your Texas Board Rules. You can find them here.

  • Someone who is dedicated, respectful of the supervisor/supervisee relationship, organized, accepts responsibility, has effective time management skills and is willing to ask questions

  • A LPC Associate who is dedicated to the counseling profession
